\r\n In addition to the nipple, the areola, often called areola or areola, contributes significantly to a beautiful breast. In addition to the shape and size of the areola, the position of the areolae in relation to each other plays a decisive role in the perceived aesthetics. Often one of these points does not correspond to one’s own ideal image. This can be hereditary or occur as a result of surgery. For example, the shape of the areola can be too large, too small, transverse oval or warped and scarred due to breast reduction. There may also be an asymmetry in terms of shape and position when comparing the left and right areolas. The correction of the areola in men is rarely useful, as the skin around the areola is usually under more tension than in women and thus the risk of very noticeable scars is significantly increased. <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

Consultation<\/h2>\r\nThe personal consultation is a prerequisite for finding the optimal treatment for you. In the conversation, the expected results and effects are discussed as well as risks and the course of the operation. The majority of patients wish to have the correction of the areola performed under local anesthesia. Extended sedation or anesthesia is also possible. <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

Procedure of the operation for areola reduction<\/h2>\r\nIf the areola correction is planned under local anesthesia, you can have breakfast in the morning. Before the procedure, there is sufficient time to discuss any remaining questions. In the case of height asymmetry, the adjustment operation is performed either on one areola alone or on both (in this case, a certain breast lift<\/a> is achieved at the same time, which can also meet the desire for a youthful breast). If the areola appears too large or too small, it can be reduced or expanded to the ideal size. The procedure is performed in a similar way to correct scars on the areola, e.g. after breast reduction surgery (mammaplasty). Areola rings in different sizes are used in these procedures as well as special sutures and suturing techniques. In the same session, further longitudinal and transverse scar corrections are often performed. <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

What to do after areola correction<\/h3>\r\n\r\nUsually, mild painkillers are sufficient. For your safety, we are of course available by phone after the operation. The stitches are removed about 2 weeks after the correction of the areola. Sporting activities should be avoided during the healing period so as not to impair wound healing. The healing phase should be accompanied by regular follow-up checks. Of course, we are at your disposal for this. The wounds heal over time to a line-shaped scar. <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n
