\nA drooping upper eyelid can not only affect your aesthetics, but also restrict your vision.
\nAs a rule, drooping eyelids become more pronounced with age \u2013 the speed at which this occurs depends largely on your family predisposition, facial expressions, level of UV exposure, lifestyle and smoking. <\/p>\n

Upper eyelid lifts are routine procedures at the TRAUMKLINIK in B\u00f6blingen near Stuttgart. We plan the incisions so that they lie in the natural skin folds, i.e. in the eyelid crease. The primary aim of an upper eyelid lift is to remove excess skin. Depending on the severity of the drooping eyelid, it may also be necessary to remove fatty tissue and\/or tighten the muscles.<\/p>\n

The surgical procedure is usually performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia. If necessary, you will be given a sedative injection. Most patients can return home after a short rest. If necessary, general anesthesia is also possible.<\/p>\n

The healing process – including complete decongestion – takes about two weeks. We therefore recommend that you rest for at least a week after the operation. The suture material is usually removed after around seven to ten days.<\/p>\n

Important information: Even after an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia, you must not drive or otherwise actively participate in road traffic for 24 hours.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n
