Hereditary hair loss (androgenic alopecia) is the most common cause of hair loss in men and women, accounting for 95% of cases, and often leads to a significant reduction in quality of life. This type of hair loss is caused by an increased sensitivity of the hair follicles to male sex hormones (androgens), more precisely dehydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT has been shown to reduce the size of the hair follicles, which results in lower hair growth strength and causes hair to fall out more quickly – typically starting at the frontal humps and crown. While in men an increase in the sebaceous gland density on the head with hair loss and increased beard growth can be observed, in women the hair density on the head generally decreases (clearings). PRP is an innovative, natural and gentle treatment alternative to reactivate and permanently strengthen your hair follicles without having to accept the frequent and undesirable side effects of medication on the hormonal balance. The platelets contained in PRP release numerous and highly potent growth factors* after being injected into the scalp, which sometimes stimulate the stem cells within the hair follicles and lead to the formation of new hair follicles and improved blood flow to the hair follicles. This strengthens your remaining and regrowing hair from the inside out in such a way that you can withstand the negative effects of the hormone DHT much better. As a result, an increase in hair density and decreased hair loss can be achieved. As with the vampire lifting of the skin, the PRP is obtained from the patient’s own blood, prepared and injected directly into the skin with anesthetic cream after pre-treatment of the areas to be treated.

Special notes:
  • There are numerous causes of hair loss! PRP is only suitable for the described form of hair loss, but not for hair loss caused by poor diet, immunosuppression (e.g. chemotherapy), chronic diseases or a malfunction of the thyroid gland, for example.
  • Before the treatment, the scalp should be cleansed on your part.
  • During the treatment cycle, the hair and scalp should not be exposed to chemical substances (e.g. tints and dyes) as far as possible, as this may have a negative impact on the success of the treatment.
